Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is vital in optimizing business operations and driving technological advancements. This role demands a strategic approach to understanding and improving business processes, systems, and products through meticulous analysis, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. The analyst is responsible for converting complex business requirements into actionable insights and solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Through customer journey viewpoints, analyze existing products, systems, and processes, identify key performance indicators, and conduct in-depth analyses to identify problems & enhance performance.
  • Synthesize business objectives and data analysis to drive strategic decision-making and actionable insights.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses to forecast project outcomes and assess potential implications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate and optimize current business processes, recommending and implementing changes to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
  • Collaborate with data architects to ensure data integrity and consistency, and support analytical decision-making.
  • Lead effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, development teams, and project managers to align on project goals and requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to elicit requirements, communicate updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure solutions are implemented effectively, meeting specified requirements and business needs, and support change initiatives with training, documentation, and communication strategies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the impact of changes on business processes, identifying success metrics and opportunities for further improvement.
  • Proactively identify, and assess potential risks and issues in proposed solutions, and develop effective mitigation strategies, maintaining open communication with stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Advanced degrees, like an MBA or master's in information systems, can be advantageous.
  • Experience: 5 years Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Product manager, Project manager, or in a similar role.
  • Skill Sets: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tools and software: Excel, SQL, and potentially some business intelligence platforms.
  • Data visualization and reporting tools: e.g., Tableau, Power BI


Nice-to-have Qualifications (a plus, but not required):

  • Proficiency in Python / R / SaS
  • Business process modeling and requirements management tools, like Visio, Lucidchart, or JIRA
  • A huge plus if with hands-on data science knowledge
    • Data Analysis & Modeling: Develop, validate, and implement data models and algorithms that drive innovation and improve efficiency across the organization. Use predictive modeling and machine learning to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
    • Data Mining & Insight Generation: Conduct advanced data mining and analysis to uncover hidden insights and trends. Utilize a variety of datasets to enhance understanding of business performance and customer behavior.
