Your Impact to the Mission:
As a Junior Accountant you'll be an essential contributor to our dynamic team. Your role will empower you to:
- Conduct bank and general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel.
- Support monthly closes, including assigned journal entries in Costpoint.
- Assist in preparation of monthly schedules and reports.
- Process accounts payable invoice and expense reports.
- ACH File processing.
- Preparing and cutting checks for weekly check runs.
- Reviewing and preparing 1099's.
- Manage vendor information and provide customer service for internal and external inquiries.
- Assist with processing timesheets and payroll.
- Assist in annual audits.
Experience Needed to Be Successful:
- Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Ability to pro-actively address and resolve issues or problem areas.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills - work with others both within and outside the
- department to address and resolve issues.
Basic Qualifiers:
- Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
