Our team is seeking a Senior Designer to provide support in the following areas:Under the direction of project managers and engineering staff, produce AutoCAD drawings, Solid Works models, perform drawing changes, and perform field walk-downs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update design drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of design and field changes (e.g. Design Change Notices (DCNs)/Facility Modification Packages (FMPs)) to project drawings during construction
  • Perform field walk downs in preparation of as-built drawings.
  • Interface with design team to resolve design issues/comments
  • Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with the engineered design associated with equipment installations
  • Assist in resolution of field installation issues
  • Provide input to construction field changes.
  • Mentor junior design staff

Accountabilities:

  • Able to lead the design
  • Mentor and lead other design staff
  • Accountable to project managers for project deliverables including deliverables of junior design staff
  • Interacts with coworkers, clients, officials and contractors
  • Deliver scope on time, on budget and in accordance with expectations, including delivery in a safe and secure manner
  • Compliance with policies and procedures during course of executing job tasks

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • AA degree or equivalent training & experience.

Experience & Requirements:

  • 12 years of experience
  • Able to demonstrate proficiency with 2D drafting and 3D parametric solid modeling software (AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS)
  • Experience with REVIT is preferred by not required
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software is preferred by not required
  • Experience with system or component operations and maintenance is preferred but not required
  • Experience and familiarity with DOE site drawing standards and preparation of drawings is preferred by not required
