Voices For Independence, a prestigious Center for Independent Living headquartered in Erie, PA, with offices throughout Western PA, has an immediate opening for an OnCall Personal Care Attendant
This is an exempt (salaried) position that includes travel throughout the service area.
POSITION SUMMARY
The OnCall PCA will provide personal care and assistance with ancillary tasks to individuals with disabilities living in the community. The OnCall PCA will also provide additional assistance to staff and consumers while working within the Voices For Independence service area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid/current state driver’s license and personal means of transportation
Current auto insurance and vehicle registration
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends
• Able to able to travel throughout Erie County (approved work-related mileage reimbursed by the agency)
• Support for the Independent Living Philosophy
Competitive rate of pay, even when on-call and not directly providing services. Starting at $13.50-$14.50 per hour when providing care.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience as a PCA.
Qualified candidates must pass employment background checks/screenings as mandated by the PA Department of Health and other governing entities.
