Job Description:
The draftsperson will be responsible for all of Volt’s CAD needs. This may include, but is not limited to: shows, venues, inventory, warehouses, and truck packs. The draftsperson will work closely with both operations and show staff on various tasks and must be able to work well in a team setting. This role will require competency in prioritizing and working with little supervision to meet deadlines. This is an at will, full time, exempt position. The draftsman must be available to work from 8:30a-5:30p, Monday through Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with show staff and clients to produce accurate 2D/3D show plots.
- Creating Volt templates and title blocks.
- Updating and expanding symbol libraries to include all Volt inventory and frequently subbed equipment.
- Produce accurate 2D/3D draftings of warehouse spaces and vehicles.
- Produce CAD assisted truck pack paperwork.
- Attend site surveys as needed.
- Producing MA3D show files.
- Producing 3D Renderings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of Vectorworks
- Thorough understanding of Lightwright
- Thorough understanding of working in both 2 & 3D
- Thorough understanding of fixture creation
- Understanding of lighting systems and layouts
- Understanding of MA3D software and creating previz files
- Understanding of 3D modeling
- Understanding of AutoDesk a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,400.00 per week
