Position Overview:
Volt Martial Arts is in search of a dedicated and experienced Head Coach to lead our dynamic team of martial arts instructors and to play a pivotal role in the development of our students and the enhancement of our curriculum. As the cornerstone of our coaching staff, the Head Coach will oversee the implementation of our martial arts programs, ensuring they are delivered with the highest standards of excellence and align with our core mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee the team of martial arts instructors, ensuring high-quality instruction and a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Develop and refine the martial arts curriculum in collaboration with the Program Director, incorporating traditional techniques with modern teaching methodologies.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for students of all ages and levels, fostering skill development, discipline, and passion for martial arts.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students, providing personalized feedback and support to facilitate their advancement and achievement of goals.
  • Foster a community of respect, discipline, and camaraderie among students and staff.
  • Collaborate with the management team on strategies to enhance program offerings, increase student enrollment, and ensure student retention.
  • Represent Volt Martial Arts at competitions, events, and public engagements, promoting the brand and its values within the wider community.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in martial arts, incorporating innovative practices into the program as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a martial arts instructor with a track record of successful student development.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • A deep understanding of martial arts philosophies and teaching methodologies.
  • Certification or significant experience in one or more martial arts disciplines.
  • A commitment to personal development, both as an instructor and a practitioner of martial arts.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to meet the needs of the program.

Location:
Volt Martial Arts operates several locations. The Head Coach may be required to work across different sites as needed.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
