Volt is immediately hiring for
A Event Coordinator in
Glendale, CA. The D23 Event Coordinator will support event production, communications, project management, and guest services, including drafting event articles, coordinating meetings, creating presentations, assisting with event planning, interacting with guests, and resolving concerns.
As a
Event Coordinator you will:
- Communications: Assist in drafting and researching event articles, communications and recaps. Build Keynote presentations for both internal and external functions. Assist in crafting, setting up, and fulfilling event surveys, event postings, and ticketing pages
- Project Management: Coordinate team meetings and agendas, manage master event calendar, track production achievements, serve as a contact for certain internal and external partners, and regularly update event documents and AAR based on team input
- Event Support: From assisting with brainstorming and planning to creating run-of-show documents, interacting with guests and solving concerns on-site, and coordinating select areas of operation (e.g. check-in) for a variety of events, including D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
This is a
full time, temporary opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-3 years of experience in event planning is preferred
- High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, ‘can do’ attitude
- Knowledge of and genuine interest in the Walt Disney Company’s past, present and future including films, animation, television and theme parks.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a positive, pro-active manner, both individually and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and follow-through skills, with a strong desire to learn
- Proven attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Demonstrated comfort working in Keynote, crafting quality, in-depth presentations
- Knowledge of creative process and deliverables
- Able to work a flexible event schedule, including nights and weekends as needed
- Familiar with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, and deep knowledge of Disney’s history, brands, processes and culture
- Advanced writing and editing experience
- Knowledge of digital online tools such as WordPress
- Design, event, and production experience
Pay Rate: $33.33 an hour - Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
