Volt is immediately hiring for an Apprentice Maintenance Technician in Garland, TX
As an Apprentice Maintenance Technician, you will :
- Provide support to the lead Maintenance Technician
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency to correct operational and safety problems
- Review and audit all assigned areas as needed under the direction of the lead Maintenance Technician
- Maintain records for equipment inventory, building systems, preventive maintenance
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
This is a full-time opportunity.
Hours : 6 : 00 am - 2 : 30 pm - M-F
The ideal candidate will have :
- General knowledge of trouble shooting industrial machines, sewing machines and electrical equipment
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Hands on technical, electrical or warehouse manufacturing. Technical school experience will be considered
- Good communication skills. Bilingual - English / Spanish is a plus
- Safety knowledge ex LOTO, Electrical Safety
- Sitting / Standing / Walking constantly for 6-8 hours
- Simple grasping constantly 6-8 hours
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally less than 1 hour
Pay Rate : $20.00 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
