Position Summary : Under the supervision of the Center Coordinator, the Office Assistant I will be responsible for the receptionist and clerical functions of the assigned center.
Essential Job Functions : The duties below are intended to provide an overview of the duties required of the Office Assistant I : Greet all parents and visitors entering the center ensuring that proper documentation and identification is procured.
- Communicates with all staff, parents, and visitors in a positive, courteous, helpful, and encouraging manner in all situations.
- Responsible for front desk coverage and directing telephone calls to the correct recipient.
- Distribute incoming mail and ensure mail goes out in a timely manner.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean work environment and ensures the organization of office supplies.
- Provides clerical support to the Center Coordinator.
- Assist in preparation for community events, Parent Council / Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and Socializations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Travels to VOASW Sites, community agencies, conferences, and trainings.
- Adhere to VOASW policies and procedures.
