What we are looking for:
Volvo Cars is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support our parts distribution warehouse operations in Rutherford, New Jersey.
A day in the Life of:
- Manually pick and package automotive parts, ship dealer orders in accordance with all Company standards. Employees expected to meet or exceed productivity/ quality performance standards as set by DC Manager.
- Using a forklift/pallet jack, pick and package automotive parts, ship dealer order in accordance with all Company standards.
- Receive, check and bin parts received from suppliers and dealers into the distribution center.
- Stock and restock parts into correct locations in a timely manner.
- Manually lift, carry and transport objects and weights consummate with parts distribution center operations.
- Manually lifts parts ranging weight up to 70 lbs.
- Review daily schedule and report to work area.
- Perform forklift pre-inspections and report operational problems to Operations Manager.
- Locate and retrieve products to build pallets manually and/or with forklift in preparation for shipping.
- Gather and assemble specific customer orders and prepare for staging.
- Locate inventory and maintain inventory tracking.
- Place proper labels on pallets and boxes according to company procedure.
- Keep facility clean at all times.
- Comply with policies and procedures.
- Support and abide by all safety regulations set by company.
- Assignments require working alone.
Qualifications (Education, Experience):
- Good communication skills
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- Basic warehouse experience preferred.
- Basic computer experience preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Working Hours and Shift:
- This is a second shift position.
- Working hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
