Avionics Technician - Wire Harness Assembly

Boeing North Charleston are seeking Avionics Technicians with at least 1 year of wire harness assembly experience:


Job Description:

  • Assemble products using power tools and hand tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Perform electrical, machining, and mechanical tasks as required
  • Use calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure the accuracy of assembled components
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for assembly
  • Knowledge of electrical, machining, and mechanical principles
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Experience using calipers and other measuring instruments
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during the assembly process
  • Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines


Note: Prior experience as an Aircraft Assembler or in a similar role is necessary. Training will be provided for candidates demonstrating the required skills and willingness to learn.

****MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ALL 3 SHIFTS (1ST,2ND 3RD).****** - (Vortex Aviation has no control over which shift you may be assigned)

Payrate: $30 per hour - tax per diem is offered for those candidates traveling from 75 miles away.

We do offer full benefits including medical, dental, vision and a 401k match.

This is a 12 month, contract position with Boeing for their Dreamliner 787 program. Boeing unfortunately does not offer relocation assistance or housing to contractors.


Drug Screening and Background Check necessary once offer is made.


Must be okay with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift
