Vortex Optics is looking for a talented individual to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for proper maintenance of pick shelves and overflow storage. Accuracy, quality, and speed are what provides an exceptional CARE experience for our customers! This position will work Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Stock shelves efficiently and accurately utilizing a handheld device and various lift trucks 
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts of pick and reserve locations
• Assist with slotting and organization of products
• Collaborate with order fulfillment to minimize backorders
• Perform timely and accurate completion of all special projects
• Perform general warehouse maintenance such as cleaning, sweeping, organizing
• Follow safety procedures in accordance with approved training and reports any dangerous conditions to a leader immediately
• Participate in team meetings by presenting and sharing information.
• Perform all department functions as necessary, demonstrate good work habits, encourage clean and safe work habits, and exhibit positive attitudes toward internal and external customers
• Operate standard office equipment efficiently to include – computer with printer, photocopy machine
• Perform additional duties as assigned, working together in cooperative manner to achieve department and company goals.
• Receive performance and culture related feedback, ensure understanding, and grow/develop skills accordingly
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, high school equivalency degree (HSED), or general education degree (GED)
• Forklift experience
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately
• Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills
• Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization cross-departments 
• Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time
