Canvassers
Position Summary: As a Canvasser, you will play a crucial role in our efforts to mobilize and empower voters in Suffolk,Virginia. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with community members, provide them with accurate and relevant information about upcoming elections, candidates, and important ballot measures, and encourage them to participate in the electoral process. This position offers an excellent opportunity to directly impact the local community, promote civic participation, and contribute to the democratic process.

Voter Education Project seeks applicants for a canvassing role in Suffolk,Virginia. This is a great opportunity for experienced field/community leaders looking to take the next step in their career and gain additional experience. The canvasser role varies based on project, including tasks such as knocking on doors, passing out literature, gathering data, persuading individuals, educating individuals, coordinating with the canvassing manager, handling applicable situations and reaching the daily goals set by the campaign.
The ideal candidate is/has:
a. Diligent
b. Structured
c. Can be Autonomous.
d. Experienced Canvasser (Worked on at least two projects in a canvasser capacity)
e. Knowledge and experience of Canvassing Software and Platforms
This is a contract position, reporting to your designated Program Manager. Applicants must have completed high school and received either a diploma or GED. People of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
