VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for use in avionics, military, space and industrial applications, is seeking a full-time Marketing Communications Specialist for their office in Blacksburg, VA.

In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager to create, launch, monitor, and refine the annual marketing strategy. As VPT's Marketing Communications Specialist, you will take ownership and actively contribute to brand awareness/lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns.

We are seeking a candidate who has 1–3 years of experience, possesses a genuine passion for marketing, thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment, and is eager to further cultivate their skills in a fast-paced team.

This position offers the potential for a hybrid work arrangement following the initial year of product training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and updating the company's website: building new landing pages, optimizing content, implementing user experience improvements, optimizing SEO, etc.
  • Coordinate and execute advertising campaigns, such as, ad placement, creative development, and media buying, to maximize brand exposure and reach target audiences.
  • Coordinate and schedule company exhibitions in tradeshows and events, ensuring timely registration, booth logistics, and assisting with promotion and follow-up strategies.
  • Develop engaging and compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, blog posts, email campaigns, and press releases as well as publishing content across relevant platforms.
  • Possess strong presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to convey ideas, concepts, and information in a clear, engaging, and influential manner, whether to internal teams or vendors.
  • Utilize marketing data to analyze campaign performance, customer behavior, and market trends. Make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall organization objectives and messaging consistency across all channels.
  • Actively monitor competitors and analyze marketing strategies outside the industry to remain at the forefront of emerging trends and market developments.

Because of the nature of the position, a US Person is required

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills. Samples may be requested.
  • WordPress or similar CMS management experience.
  • Click Dimensions or similar email marketing platform experience.
  • Proven experience in conducting research, crafting, editing, and launching diverse content, including case studies, white papers, press releases, videos, and more.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 as well as other user data collection platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and analyzing marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of campaigns.
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing tools such as SEMRush, Yoast, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Inspectlet, etc.
