VPT, Inc., a global leader in providing power conversion solutions for use in avionics, military, space and industrial applications, is seeking a full-time Quality Systems Associate for their office in Blacksburg, Va.
This position in the Quality Department will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. A highly organized candidate with excellent communication skills is ideal.
The Role:
At VPT, we are looking for a self-motivated Quality Systems Associate with a passion for consistency and efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and other department personnel to ensure that SOPs and manufacturing documentation are controlled, distributed and accurate. In addition, you will be an integral part of continuous improvement projects while also supporting internal/external audits as necessary.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Champion the electronic workflow throughput and routings in the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Release approved documents in the QMS
- Ensure documentation, form, numbering format and integrity remain consistent
- Weekly electronic distribution of SOPs and manufacturing documents to all facilities
- Assign electronic training and test materials to personnel in the QMS
- Assist Quality Assurance personnel with audits (internal and external)
- Assist Quality Assurance personnel with continual process improvement initiatives
- Draft various documentation and forms
- Manage product assembly part numbering, details and format in the ERP

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
- Previous Document Control, Business Administration, Medical Administration or Paralegal experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal skills (technical, business, medical or legal writing experience preferred)
- Experience with Qualtrax (Electronic Quality Management system) preferred
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) a plus
