Supply Chain Supervisor

SUMMARY: As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, this position is part of a Supply Chain and Planning team responsible for analyzing inventory and sales together in order to develop key metrics and strategies that will maximize profitability and inventory health while meeting customer needs and OEM contractual requirements. It will require a detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional Business Intelligence and analytical skills, and the ability to lead a small team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead Business Analyst for VSE Aviation Distribution, and lead a small team of Analysts / Buyers


• Focus on developing a Pricing and Segmentation Strategy for various aspects of the distribution business.


• Develop a strategy to capture the KPIs of the Rotables segment of VSE Aviation, then a path forward to reduce aging inventory along with growth from improved revenue and margin.


• Utilize advanced Business Intelligence skills to analyze data from company ERP System, develop reports, create visualizations, models, and dashboards all based on inventory and internal business plan.


• Modeling and analysis of potential new inventory investments.


• Train, assist and supervise team members to ensure they follow the proper work procedures and practices.


• Perform supervisory duties for assigned team members. This may include conducting performance reviews, oversee development, document attendance, submit payroll information and issue corrective action to team members.


• Conduct department meetings and attend cross-functional meetings to foster communication and to discuss improvement opportunities and new procedures.


• Work cross-functionally across all of VSE Aviation (Distribution and MRO) to review and communicate with internal/external stakeholders at business review meetings or as needed.


• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Systems / Technology, or similar analytical field


• 6 years of relevant/technical work experience & 3 years of leadership experience.


• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel expertise


• Statistical Analysis and Modeling experience / coursework


• Team oriented, resourceful, and fast learner


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with managing multiple priorities.


• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills


• Strong written and oral communication skills


• Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives.


• Fluent in English

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in business, finance, or related field


• 9 years of overall work experience


• 4 years' experience in the aviation industry


• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI or similar BI program
