Job Summary:

Working as part of the Business Development Team, the Senior Pricer serves as the lead pricing interface with assigned business units or functional areas for the purpose of delivery of competitively priced proposals. The Senior Pricer is responsible for day to day operations of the team and development of pricing analysts, in addition to normal pricing analyst duties.  The Senior Pricer reports any issues causing delays or hardships within the team’s duties, developing action plans to mitigate the issues. 

As with any position, additional expectations exist.  Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor, and staying focused on the assigned tasks.

The compensation range for this position is $90k - $120k annually.

Responsibilities:

  • Makes pricing recommendations on all Opportunities
  • Work with Business Development team to do market analysis by participating in financial review of new markets at pre-RFP stage
  • Provides guidance to the Business Development team to facilitate a better understanding of the financial impacts and sensitivities of specific opportunities (e.g., the impact of pursuing specific new markets and targeting certain clients, etc.)
  • Develop pricing for proposal submissions by working closely with the capture manager, technical team, and the proposal manager
  • Manage the distribution of pricing data calls to subcontractors, where appropriate, and respond to pricing data calls by prime contractors
  • Works as an integral part of the capture/proposal team, assisting in the development of pricing strategies, identifying risks, and interpreting solicitation requirements
  • Acts as the cost proposal volume manager
  • Prepares fully compliant cost proposals in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) and internal requirements
  • Completes Pricing Analysis and Salary Survey Research
  • Acts as central point of contact between teaming partners for all Pricing related items
  • Update pricing resources to ensure up to date information is presented in cost proposals
  • Assist new partners with their preparation of government submission documents
  • Handle all cost proposals that include sensitive financial information
  • Ensure that proposals comply with Procurement requirements, laws, and internal VSolvit policies
  • Provide regular pricing status updates to the Pricing Manager and Capture Management Team
  • Partner with key staff members to ensure competitive proposal development / submissions
  • Perform business analysis and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed
  • Create and analyze relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to senior management.
  • Mentor and develop pricing staff on pricing requirements and strategies
  • Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements

Basic Qualification:

  • Associate degree in accounting, business, finance, purchasing, economics, mathematics, or related field
  • 4 years' demonstrated experience Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
  • 4 years’ demonstrated experience preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and cost narratives in support of proposals submitted to the government
  • 4 years’ demonstrated experience in direct federal procurement
  • 4 years' demonstrated experience working with proposal pricing using RFP-provided information and industry estimates, executing salary determinations and justifications, and developing pricing models for federal agencies
  • Experience and knowledge in developing pricing for CPFF, Fixed Price, and T&M opportunities
  • Familiarity with government contracting to include pricing, financial analysis, and contracts with federal agencies such as DOD, NIH, HHS, and FDA
  • Ability to do hands-on analysis at micro-level while presenting findings at high-level
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and present to executive management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services
  • Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently
  • United States Citizenship required
