Premier Orthopaedic multispecialty practice has an immediate, full-time Certified Athletic Trainer/Clinical Assistant opening. The right candidate should be seeking full-time, career employment working in a highly specialized orthopaedic medical office setting.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet and room patient; confirm reason for patient’s appointment.
· Obtain patient vitals, review of systems, medications, and family hx.
· Triage patient phone calls and correspondence.
· Assist physician with patient office encounters.
· Assist with in-office procedures (suture removal, wound care, dressing changes, etc.).
· Take comprehensive patient hx for new patients.
· Answer medical questions in office and by phone.
· Patient scheduling for surgery and testing.
· Pre- and post-operative patient education.
· Post-operative/procedural follow-up with patients.
· Prescription callbacks and use of E-Script.
· Serve as liaison between physician and patients.
· Front office float duties as needed.

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to document/record patient’s health record.
· Ability to interpret and explain an extensive variety of pre- and post-operative instructions.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
The ideal Athletic Trainer/Clinical Assistant will be capable of working in a fast-paced medical office environment. Superb communication, organization, and prioritization skills are requirements for this position. Candidates possessing strong interpersonal skills and work well under pressure when communicating with physicians, patients and staff are strongly encouraged to apply. Monday-Friday work week with no weekends, evenings, or call.
