Our OBGYN practice has an immediate opening for a purpose driven full-time Medical Assistant seeking career employment working for a practice committed to making life better for our patients. Our practice’s Medical Assistants serve as a critical link between our patients and physicians. We are seeking someone who loves to provide patient education while learning new processes and procedures.
Position overview:
- Greet patient, confirm reason for appointment and obtain well documented vitals.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Assist physician with medical procedures.
- Organize, maintain, and sterilize instruments.
· Performs phlebotomy, educate patients about procedures, treatments, and needs.
· Assist with laboratory and point of care testing.
· Administers medications as directed by physician/ nurse practitioner.
· Assists physicians with patient exams and procedures.
· Document patient’s medical information in electronic health record.
· Tracks and routes test results to physician; contact patient to discuss test results.
· Facilitates patient care activities, to include scheduling ancillary tests, reinforcing patient education, and performs triage as appropriate and as directed by the physicians.
· Maintains adequate inventory of medical, office, and pharmaceutical supplies.
Hours, workdays and perks:
· Monday-Friday workdays.
· 8:00am-4:30pm work hours with 30-minute lunch break.
· No call or weekend work.

Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· OBGYN experience preferred but not required – we love to train!
· Six months or more Medical Assisting experience preferred.
· Great attitude and good sense of humor required.
· Active Medical Assistant credential (RMA,CMA,NRCMA, CCMA, or similar) required.
