Overview:
VTG is seeking Instructor Pilots in Quantico, VA to support the Navy.
Responsibilities:
- CIs must fully demonstrate an understanding of the VH-3D, VH-60N, VH-92A® missions, crew procedures, tactics and threat systems/tactics.
- A CIP must successfully complete the Government provided Helicopter Instrument Ground School (HIGS) during the first year of employment and every five (5) years thereafter.
- CIs shall have Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge of technical data required to fulfill their CI requirements.
- Documents/data listed below are, but not limited to, the primary documents applicable.
- CIs shall acquire relevant and appropriate knowledge required to fulfill their CI requirements from any additional technical publications developed for the VH-3D, VH-60N, VH-92A®, its mission, tactics, and its supporting training devices.
Qualifications: Contract Instructor Pilots must be or have been a VH-qualified pilot or a VH-qualified flight simulator instructor within the preceding five (5) years. A CI shall have a minimum of one (1) fleet tour, the equivalent of eight hundred (800) flying hours in the VH-60N, VH-3D or S-92 aircraft and a bachelor’s degree.
Certifications: All CIs shall be certified as instructors to their applicable platform. Multiple certifications to instruct for VH-60N, VH-3D and VH-92A® aircraft requires appropriate certifications for each. Substitution of alternative training for Contract Instructor Services experience and/or education requirements is subject to Government concurrence, as to adequacy and applicability, on an individual basis.
