Outdoor Education Equipment Specialist - Student Employment (Workstudy Eligibility Required)

  1. Sort, label, track, organize and clean equipment and storage spaces
  2. Maintain accurate records of equipment, track usage, label, etc.
  3. Repair and maintain equipment
  4. Assist with the department gear sale
  5. Recommend purchases for equipment repair & replacement
  6. Contacting suppliers and manufacturers for parts, repair, and replacement items
  7. Organize and maintain program related paperwork
  8. Assist with upkeep of other program areas (e.g. ropes course and related equipment
  9. Provide support for field-based courses
  10. Other duties as assigned

Estimated workload: 5 – 10 hours/ week

Qualifications:

  • Mature, responsible, trustworthy individual with familiarity with outdoor equipment
  • Mechanically inclined – a gear-meister!
  • Highly organized & self motivated – will work unsupervised for much of the time
  • Good communication skills
  • Retail and/ or repair experience highly desirable
  • Work Study Eligible
