IT Engineering Manager

• Lead the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of IT services for a small and rapidly growing organization
• Lead all IT related efforts for implementation of compliance, quality, and resource planning systems from the ground up.
• Build a clear understanding of the service requirements of the business
• Responsible for analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware and software, and database management
• Coordinate, plan, and lead implementation, administration, and maintenance of all computer-related activities in the organization
• Manage the purchasing, installation, maintenance, and repair for all hardware and software within the company
• Ensure IT infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility
• Specify, hire, and manage IT service providers and employees
• Leverage Best Practices to drive continuous improvement to the IT systems
• Lead internal audit programs and drive non-conformance issues to conclusion
• Manage help desk and support services and respond to escalated help desk issues
• Stay abreast of emerging industry practices and identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience with Windows 10; Server 2019, 2016, 2012
• Knowledge of client/server environments, Group Policies, Domain Services and Networking
• Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems configuration and management
• Deep knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework, other computer security publications, and implementing system security controls, in accordance to DFARS 252.204-7012 and/or NIST SP 800-171 cyber security compliance standards
• Experience with configuring layer 2 and layer 3 network switches
• Track record in ground-up IT Infrastructure specification, implementation, administration, and maintenance
• Experience managing costs and budget preparation including software and hardware maintenance, supplies inventory, vendor relationship and licensing
• Experience working with manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and medical devices industries is preferred
• Ability to think strategically and plan over a multi-year time span
• Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects at multiple sites simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and management skills
• Self-starter, well organized, detail oriented, diligent
• Capable of setting and reaching ambitious goals
