Basic Job Functions:
The Detailer is responsible for the project coordination and complete development of the 3D model, approval and placement plans, and bills of material according to project specifications and product requirements utilizing Tekla, a comprehensive 3D modeling program. A successful Detailer is a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to manage time resources in a fast-paced environment.
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to steel joists and deck to accurately prepare detailed drawings and bills of material
- Fulfill commitments on a regular basis while maintaining a “World Class” level of quality
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Teammates and Customers
- Understand and support Vulcraft practices, customer needs, and division goals
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School graduate, with interest in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
- A strong aptitude for mathematics, technical plan reading, and use of computer applications
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs
- Must have basic knowledge of construction practices
