Organization: PMI CHTN Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our team. As a Software Developer at CHTN Vanderbilt University Medical Center, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software applications that drive our success. Develops and modifies software independently. Designs, codes, performs benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Implements large/multiple development projects. Functions as lead on projects. May lead teams. Coaches development of Application Developers. . Key Responsibilities: As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document software requirements. Coordinate with Various Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and successful implementation. Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java, JSP, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies. Testing: Conduct rigorous testing to identify and rectify software defects and ensure high-quality deliverables. Deployment on Server: Deploy software applications on server environments, including AWS Cloud Services such as EC2, RDS, Route 53, VPC, CloudFront, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, S3, SES, SNS, and SQS. Maintenance and Enhancement: Continuously monitor and enhance existing software applications to meet evolving business needs. Creating and Managing Reports: Develop and manage reports using Jasper Reports for data analysis and reporting purposes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in software development with Java, JSP, and JavaScript. Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services, including EC2, RDS, Route 53, VPC, CloudFront, ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, S3, SES, SNS, and SQS. Strong database skills with Oracle, including SQL and PL/SQL. Proficiency in XML, HTML, CSS, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, JQuery, JSON, and RESTful Web Services. Experience with version control systems, particularly GIT. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards. Understanding of AGILE methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Exposure to Microservices architecture. Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices. Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including experience with Tableau. Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban Hybrid role, majorly remote after training period. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES • Applications Development Standards and Procedures (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of the applications development standards and procedures in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully following applications development standards and procedures without requiring support and instruction from others. Demonstrates an attentiveness and vigilance regarding violations of standards and procedures, and takes appropriate action to remedy. • Applications System Analysis (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of systems analysis tasks independently and without support from others for moderate to difficult applications, such as batch, on-line and event-driven. Has conducted all of the tasks and activities required to complete the systems analysis phase and participated in the process of fully designing, developing and implementing the system. Has participated in feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses. In terms of structured systems analysis, if applicable, has used data flow diagrams to define work flow and data structure diagrams to refine data base needs in a simple system. Has independently used structured English to define processes and has participated in data flow transformation analysis resulting in the physical data flow diagram of the proposed system. • Applications System Design (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of systems design tasks independently and without support from others for moderate to difficult applications, batch, on-line and event-driven. Has conducted all of the tasks and activities required to complete the systems design phase and participated in the process of fully developing and implementing the system. In terms of structured systems design, if applicable, has knowledge of all the tools of a structured design. Has applied structured design tools independently to the design of moderately complex systems. • Application Development (Advanced): Demonstrates expertise of application development tasks for complex applications. Has played a lead role in the conduct of all of the tasks and activities required to complete the application development phase and participated in the process of fully implementing the system. In terms of structured programming, has used structured code to produce modules of complex logic. Familiar with the basic principles of structured design as applied at the module level and has environmental knowledge of data structure.
