Job Description

We are looking for an Information Technology Specialist (IT Specialist) to work under the direction of the Office Manager and the company President to oversee all IT functions, offer recommendations as needed, and to carry out the IT directives. You will be working closely with other departments such as Customer Service and Assembly. To be successful in this role, you should be a critical thinker and problem-solver with great organizational and communication skills. You will need to be flexible and be willing to think outside the box when necessary.

Responsibilities

The primary job responsibilities include:

• Regularly maintain and Manage server, firewall, network, Exchange and Active Directory administration.
• Manage and maintain IT inventory including hardware, software, phones, cell phones and printers.
• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
• Create and maintain users for several systems.
• Collaborate with other employees, consultants, and vendors to maintain standards and functionality.
• Assist with IT projects/tasks and duties as assigned by Manager.
• Provide technical support to employees including troubleshooting and administration of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and telephony.
• Ensure company follows PCI Compliance requirements.
• Create and update SOPs.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

• Install and configure computers on customer machines.
• "Flash" machine control boards, back up the controls and document the parameters.
• Provide technical support to customers including troubleshooting and administration of computers and networks as they relate to the setup/configuration/use of Vytek machines.
• Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, understanding, and logical troubleshooting.
• Provide detailed documentation regarding steps taken to resolve issues and fulfill requests in the form of case notes entries, knowledge base and wiki articles.
• Occasional travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and/or install new equipment with a Service Technician.

Key Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

• Critical thinker and problem-solver with great organization skills, communicating necessary information to supervisors, as well as make suggestions for improving operations as necessary.

• Knowledgeable in MS Windows based OS, MS productivity software, CPU/Networking hardware, TCP/IP network protocols, LAN/WAN configuration, IOS, and Android.
• Requires an Associate's Degree or Higher in a related area and minimum 3 years of experience in network management

• Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize problems when handling multiple cases.
• Self-starter, energetic, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to quickly learn complex technical issues.
• Willing to submit to a background check
