As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Data Analytics BI Lead to join our corporate team in Chesterfield, MI.
NO RELOCATION OFFERED. Must be able to work in the US for any employer and report IN OFFICE 3 days per week to the Chesterfield, MI location.
Summary:
The Data Analytics BI Lead is pivotal in steering the creation and continuous refinement of data-driven solutions focused on business intelligence, reporting, and analytics. This role involves integrating data architecture with strategic business goals and broader enterprise frameworks, specifically leveraging Microsoft Fabric products. They collaborate with IT and business executives to assure that the solutions they develop are aligned with broader architectural direction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the company's existing database, ETL, and reporting solutions.
  • Work with the Director of Technology Development to develop a scalable data architecture strategy tailored for business intelligence, reporting, and analytics using Microsoft Fabric tools such as on-premises data gateways, One Lake, Lakehouse data layering, Fabric Notebooks, Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI.
  • Rebuild the company’s existing ETL workflow and reporting/analytics content within the Fabric environment.
  • Ensure that Fabric data is not unnecessarily duplicated, and that data normalization is leveraged.
  • Make recommendations to IT and business executives on where Copilot should be implemented in the Fabric environment.
  • Oversee the data quality process and manage user access to ensure data is accessible, user-friendly, and ready for self-service, enabling end users to create their own Power BI reports.
  • Meet with other departments to identify key business challenges.
  • Prioritize requests and propose a plan to build and deploy analytic solutions to answer those challenges.
  • Monitor the Microsoft Fabric environment and recommend adjustments to data structure, storage, and computing specifications to meet end user expectations for performance and scalability.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Finance or Statistics is preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Fabric ETL, warehousing, analysis, and Power BI - visualization tools.
  • Expert level knowledge of SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources for analysis.
  • Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate.
Work Schedule
The position is full-time, exempt, requiring varying shifts Monday through Friday to cover business operations. Occasional extended days and or weekend hours may be required. May be required to work 45 hours a week as business needs demand. Hybrid schedule - 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Remote work requires reliable wi-fi and a distraction free work space.
