Job Description
We are in search of a Site Operations Leader for our Lake Charles, LA manufacturing site. You will report to the Plant Manager and be accountable for effectiveness of site operations and financial performance. As a member of the site leadership team, you will be an integral member of the team to support and drive manufacturing excellence within a collaborative and engaging team environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as back-up for Plant Manager
- Conducts Daily Site Performance Review
- Determines capital and cost reduction priorities site wide
- Works with EHS&S, QA, Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Managers to coordinate resources
- Coordinates staffing and determines proper staffing levels and lab priorities to meet operations needs
- Responsible for development programs and technical training for operations and facilities and provide Operations Managers, Facilities Manager and Logistics Manager first line of support for off-shift problem solving & issues (people & coordination)
- Approves area maintenance shutdown schedules
- Responsible for the financial performance of each area and communicate daily and weekly site performance and prioritize capital budgets and projects
- Ensures inventory procedures are maintained and accuracy is consistent and compliance with EHS&S standards
- Involved in the monthly S&OP process
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering Preferred)
- 15 years of operations experience in a petro-chemical plants including leadership/management experience within a union environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
