Job Title: Estimating Coordinator

Job Summary: Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting construction plans to determine quantities of construction for earthwork projects. Estimating Coordinator will work closely with estimators in making sure they get accurate quantities in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality job takeoffs & proposal preparation.
  • Read and fully understand project drawings, blueprints, building plans, construction contracts, engineering specifications and RFP’s.
  • Review plans, soil reports, bid schedules, specification for information necessary to understand scope of work.
  • Perform material takeoffs.
  • Assist with preparation of estimates on conceptual, design-build, lump sum and unit price contracts for both private and public bids.
  • Accompany Estimators in attending pre-bid meetings.
  • Analyze and compile estimate data that impacts the cost of labor, materials, and equipment requirements to ensure a high quality and timely estimate.

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Computer and software literacy
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook)
    • Bluebeam experience is a plus (not required)
