Job Summary: The fleet compliance manager collaborates with front-line management to ensure the promotion and adherence to DOT and company safety regulations. Works with HR and Safety to maintain all DOT company equipment maintenance records and keep files up to date.

Splits time between the office and the field. In the field you will be monitoring and promoting DOT compliance.
Responsible to organize and facilitate needed trainings for employees regarding DOT and Fleet compliance.
Track Driver Log exception processing through use of electronic log devices and be point-of-contact for compliance questions.
Maintain and ensure compliance of all standardized processes for Driver Background Checks, Pre-Employment Medical Screening & DOT Physicals.
Manage DOT compliance of Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing and DOT Inspection and Citation Processing across multiple states to ensure strict compliance.
Monitor Driver Qualification procedures across multiple states, including to ensure proper compliance from Federal, State regulations, company rules and policies to include: CDL, Physicals, MVR Reports and Hazmat training.
Regularly monitor the FMCSA's CSABASIC Status and report back to executive and leadership teams
Function as a company expert on all compliance issues pertaining to the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT).
Promote employee awareness of company policies and procedures relating to DOT and Fleet safety.
Review and investigate all DOT and Fleet accidents and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent future incidents.
Review and investigate all Fleet and DOT investigations. Responsible to respond back to governing agencies or other entities when require.
Maintain insurable driving record.
Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.;

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field experience applicable.
Safety training experience a plus.
3 years of experience in transportation/fleet management.
Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations under CFR Title
Effective written and verbal communication
Robust conflict management and problem-solving
Must have relative OSHA experience.
Ability to work towards and reach deadlines.
Physical Work Requirements – Medium. Exerting up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally.
Able to negotiate various site environments and adverse weather conditions.
