Overview
POSITION AVAILABLE: Parts Runner Wage: $16 – $19 Dependent on experienceLOCATION: Springville, UTDUTIES:
Pick-up and deliver inter-office mail. Pick-up parts at various vendors and shops and deliver those parts. Measure fuel tanks and report findings to the parts purchasing manager. Responsible for safely securing loads hauled in the vehicle. Load and unload trucks at various locations. Responsible for inventory as parts are picked up and signed for. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of vehicle. Keep parts area clean and help in counting inventory. Keep truck clean and serviced. Help stock shelves. Operate forklift.QUALIFICATIONS:
Detail oriented. Able to work well with other people. Able to safely move and lift at least 65 pounds. Able to quickly find addresses and follow instructions. Candidate must have and maintain a good driving record with a valid drivers license, be insurable and obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Sitting/Driving: 75% of the time.
- Standing: 25% of the time.
- Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 65 pounds. Heavy items may be required to be lifted above one's head and maneuvered while sitting, kneeling, and laying down. For safety, assistance will be provided for heavy objects.
- Physical Movement: May frequently be climbing in and out of pickup beds; reaching, grabbing, and holding objects. Also, may frequently be required to walk and work over uneven ground; balance, stoop/crouch, and kneel.
- Speaking / Listening: Need to be able to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, supervisors, and other team members to follow instructions and understand safety requirements.
- Working Conditions: 75% of the time will be spent driving to various locations. 25% will be working outside in all weather conditions.
