Garden City, NY law firm is seeking a full time experienced Attorney - Labor
Our client is a prominent AV rated Garden City education law firm, seeking an attorney with experience in public sector labor relations. First chair negotiating experience collective bargaining agreements and experience at the bargaining table, public or private sector is a must.
The Role Will Involve Labor Counsel Responsibilities Including
Position: Full-time
Work Schedule: On-site
Start: ASAP
Salary: 100-170k
Benefits: We provide health insurance on a plan where the firm and attorneys contribute. Salary increases and bonuses are determined based upon performance. The office is closed on legal holidays and attorneys get three weeks paid vacation per year. The profit-sharing plan has a one year waiting period.

- Contract grievances and arbitrations
- Improper practices before PERB
- Representation of management at collective bargaining
- Candidates must have excellent organizational, research, writing, and people skills.
- Advice and counsel regarding all labor relations matters
- Preparation for collective bargaining
- Representation of management at collective bargaining
- Representation at all labor disputes including grievances, arbitrations and improper practice proceedings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong research and writing skills
- Knowledge of labor law essential
