Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable data solutions, APIs, and tools to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to translate strategies into technical data solutions.
- Act as a technical expert in system design, integration, performance, and security.
- Research current trends in data engineering, architecture, and security to implement innovative solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Provide support for troubleshooting data platforms and be available for escalated on-call support.
- Lead internal projects such as legacy system replacement and monitoring improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor language to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fundamental knowledge of distributed computing principles.
- Understanding of data and application security concepts and best practices.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Big Data technologies
- ETL tools
- Business Intelligence and reporting tools
- Data warehousing
- Cloud environments
- Java, version control systems, CI/CD tools
- Infrastructure automation and virtualization tools
- REST API design and development
