Duties/Responsibilities
- Setup for new materials: spec identification and qualification
- Quoting new business: material and process identification, cost analysis, feasibility review
- Coordinating lab testing to validate new products meet relevant performance requirements
- Creating BOMs and manufacturing specifications for product launches
- ECNs for material changes or other changes requiring customer approval
- Supporting manufacturing with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for customer complaints. Own all actions associated with product design
- Any other tasks as assigned to support business needs
- Creativity and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills in project management
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 preferred
- Lean Certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Previous engineering role requiring regular customer interaction
