WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS OVER 50 YEARS AND WE ARE GROWING! We need help. If you are passionate about driving a project from start to finish then we need to talk. This position is hybrid position with both on-site and remote capabilities.
The formal title is Project Estimator I, but really, it's all about preparing cost estimates, proposals and RFI and RFQ responses for product/system manufacturing and integration projects, or services. Assist management in bidding process or determining price of product or service. May specialize according to particular service performed or type of product manufactured.
To succeed with us, a Project Estimator I needs to be vigilant with financial reporting, interact continually with team members, have great writing skills, be the face of the company to our clients, and direct resources. We are seeking an individual that not only has handled unique projects but has a stellar track record of being detailed oriented, and has great documentation skills !
Key Objectives
Ensure accurate costing schedules for all estimates, proposals and contracts.
Responsible for coordination of all disciplines required to evaluate, generate and submit questions and responses for potential opportunities.
Record details and history for all opportunities.
Ensure fast processing of landed contracts or purchase orders through the company's internal system including hand off to the project team.
Essential Experience/Skills
Associates degree in Business, or equivalent experience in estimation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong mathematical, in particular Algebra, excellent communication and advanced problem solving skills.
People, organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in English grammar and composition with emphasis on Persuasive and technical writing skills.
ERP system basic navigation and input skills.
Good documentation presentation skills.
Basic design, drawing, and schematic reading skills.
Industry technical terminology knowledge.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms.
Use of hands to manipulate and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
Visual, auditory and speaking skills.
