The Certified Sterile Processing Manager has responsibilities to perform duties in all areas of the unit, Central Supply. Monitoring laparoscopic, endoscopic, arthroscopic, orthoscopic, and general surgical equipment. In charge of yearly inventory and managing outdates. Ensuring the surgery dept has all the equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services it needs to operate. Monitoring shipment of purchased goods and backorders. Communicating with all surgery representatives on equipment and supplies needed. Will manage all of the sterile processing techs including evaluations, training and scheduling. Maintain AAMI and AORN standards and updates. Maintain up to date IFUs on all equipment and instruments. Responsible for monitoring that all service Pm on sterilizing equipment is done as required. Will be the point of contact for the surgical equipment/repair company and Sales Rep/Vendor contact.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists or Operation Room Technicians.
- Current Certification as ORT-preferred.
- Current CRCST- Certified Registered Central Service Technician is required.
- Current CPR certification.
- May be required to work any day of the week including holidays and weekends.
- Physical requirements include long periods of standing, lifting, stooping, bending, and pushing.
