The VP of Operations will oversee and manage the operations of Metal Source and Metal Source Recycling.
- Supervises District Managers of each Plant and Yard, Director of Transportation, and Director of Maintenance as well as coordinates with other resources such as Human Resources, Safety, Environmental, Accounting and Marketing.
*Drives, guides, and influences the day-to day business activities of a single facility or group of facilities.
*Manages overall workflow and expectations for the group.
*Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
*Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Works closely with others to develop internal budgeting and forecasting.
- To include analyzing of operating efficiencies and cost centers.
- Review of inventory and production levels.
- Operates facilities within the established forecasts, operating budgets, and CAPEX budgets.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
· Excellent analytical skills.
· 5S Principles and Lean Manufacturing experience.
· Previous Management experience of 5 years or more and managing multiple people, departments, and/or facilities.
· Ability to perform multiple tasks and a variety of duties.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory and production control, shipping operations, and fulfillment services.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
· 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or foundry industry required.
