What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator/Laminator position at Wabash?
We are currently in the process of expanding our Little Falls, MN operations and looking for local talent to help make that possible. Looking to hire 30 employees. We have new increased starting pay rates. Come join our team and create a one of a kind product new to the transportation industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary duty is to prepare molded structural composite assemblies to acceptable standards.
- Perform a variety of skilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions.
- To adhere to the general safety plan.
- Primary job functions require exercising independent judgment.
- Performs work at a quality level consistent with Wabash National and ISO standard practice.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Requirements:- High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred for this position.
- Must complete the training appropriate for the particular job assignments.
- General computer skills preferred.
- Overhead hoist and fork truck training may be required within thirty (30) days.
- Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder or stairs, climbing in trailers, and working on platforms.
- Must have ability to operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and manufacturing equipment, and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
- Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 (thirty-five) pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.
- Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
