Position Description:
Our shipping position prepares kits to be shipped, loads trailers using hoist, applies waterproof covering materials, straps/fastens loads, transports empty/loaded trailers on-site, responsible for final quality check and documents kits/loads for shipping to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the close direction the shipping follows methods and procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives and receives guidance with broad goals; assist in the process of maintenance and repairs if required; participate in continuous improvement activities, lean manufacturing, and attend meetings as needed.
Under general direction the shipping Applies banding, shims, spacers, end sealant, dividers, plastic sheeting, tarps, strapping, corner guards, and bungee cords to kits/loads as specified; assembles kit dividers using nail gun; uses a hoist to move kits, load trailers, and place tarps as needed; uses yard truck to move trailers on-site as needed; completes and turns in shipping documentation; ensures the paint is dry before stacking, inspect and correct product quality, position load with hoist, build load on a cradle; performs start-up, shut down of paint application equipment and monitors the flow of materials; monitors the proper application of undercoat to product and assists with documentation/disposal of waste; performs a final inspection on kits ensuring, load, shipping materials, kit information, and packaging are documentation is correct and attached to kits; assures that
paint totes, filters, and spray heads are clean and in proper working order; documents, replaces, cleans filters and spray heads as required.

Under Minimum Job Requirements:
Education and experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Working Conditions/Environment
* Regularly required to lift, maneuver, and carry up to 35 (thirty-five) pounds from position to position without assistance. Frequently required to lift, maneuver, and carry up to fifty (50) pounds from position to position without assistance. Occasionally required to lift, maneuver, and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds from position to position with assistance. This requires the substantial use of the upper extremities, back, and leg muscles while moving from one location to another.
* Must have the ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely, and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Wearing goggles, rubber boots, rubber gloves, and other PPE as required.
* Push/Pull: exertion of force on or against an object (weight/size) to move it from one location to another with a full range of body mechanics/movements. Pushing will use upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward. Pulling will use upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
* Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds by ear. The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.
* Talking: expressing or exchanging information through the spoken word, or conveying detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly
* The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
