PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position performs clerical and billing duties in the jail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides clerk support to the Jail Administrator and Correctional Staff
- Orders jail supplies, track purchases, maintain billing invoices and deliveries
- Maintain jail supply inventory
- Maintain file retention
- Assist with Revenue Recapture and other audits
- Monitor and invoice for boarding counties and medical expenditures
- Update jail forms and manuals
- Create forms and spreadsheets
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets
- Utilize general office equipment in performing duties such as computer, copier, fax machine, landline phone and two-way radio
- Utilize various computer software including Inmate Management, Microsoft Office, Excel and state websites
- Escort professional services into the jail
- Maintain confidentiality
- Interact with internal and external parties in a professional manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:
Minimum of a high school education, or equivalent. Prior work experience with billing, invoicing, inventory and administrative assistant type duties. Preference for candidates with a post-secondary certificate or degree in office administration or related field.

- Work with diverse individuals
- Articulate verbally with clarity and good attitude
- Provide accurate information
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Understand and follow county and jail policy
- Work with minimal supervision
- Meet deadlines
