Wachter is accepting applications for an Audio / Visual Technician for service and project work at various locations in the North West Arkansas area. Ideal candidates will have general knowledge of the construction industry and be proficient in structured cabling, including installation, termination, and testing of cabling associated with audio and video cables.

- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Basic IP networking expertise or education.
- Experience with Audio Visual installations.
- Available to travel up to 50% travel.
- Knowledge of the construction industry.
- Proficient in structured cabling; including installation, termination, and testing of cabling associated with audio and video cables.
- Ability to work as team lead with 1-4 additional technicians on small projects.
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
- Has basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation.
- Computer/laptop/smartphone proficiency.
- Highly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair audio / visual cabling systems and equipment including control equipment, audio DSPs, speakers, microphones, cameras, displays, projectors, and projector screens.
- Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
- Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that audiovisual systems are complete with total customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
- Communicate efficiently with project manager, engineers, and customers regarding project status through daily reports created through Wachter's Web Application.
- Train customers on small or limited controlled rooms.
- Communicate regularly with customers, engineers, and technicians on projects.
- Follow, update, and communicate all changes with construction drawings.
- Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
- Provide user and technical-level training on all installed systems.
- Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
