Position: Title I Interventionist (1 Year Postion)
Location: Paxton Center School
Hours: 26 hours weekly (8:15-2:45 Mon - Thurs)
The Title I Interventionist will support the goals of the Title I program as defined by the state and federal government as well as those determined by the district.
Bachelor's Degree and Teacher Certification through DESE are preferred. Additional strength and training focused in the area of language arts and math.
The Title I Interventionist shall:
1. Administer and analyze a variety of assessments to determine targeted areas of need.
2. Collaborate with teachers to determine program qualification.
3. Plan and implement targeted teaching and learning opportunities, in ELA and math, that support students gaining skills that enable them to access grade level benchmarks and skills.
4. Work collaboratively with teachers to integrate intervention goals into classroom
instruction.
5. Support open communication regarding students, instruction, and goals; with parents,
administrators, and teachers.
6. Create a schedule that supports the level and intensity of instruction necessary to make
expected growth.
7. Attend Title I Night and Parent/Teacher Conferences.
8. Perform other related tasks at the discretion of the Title I Director.
