WACKER POLYSILICON is the global leader in the production of polycrystalline hyperpure silicon for the semiconductor and solar solar industries. At our Charleston site, we are currently looking for a(n) Technical Operator (ASL) to join our growing team.
The Technical Operator (ASL) will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing issues on the Automatic Solar Line (ASL), including all support equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform regular Technical Operator responsibilities
Locate and fix issues with the ASL using operator interface panels
Locate and fix technical issues with the stand alone line (4.1)
- Locate and fix issues with the Classification department
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficient in all aspects of being a Technical Operator, including changing film rolls, banding tape and labels
- Ability to read DCS to identify problems
- Understand, document and share past problems (through Single Point Lessons) and future issues
- Ability to clear jams, adjust sensors and reassign boxes
- Thorough knowledge of Maintenance Day activities and DCS, MES, SRS and box conveyor systems
- Knowledge of Crushing production area as outlined above
- Ability to wear protective equipment as required by company and departmental policy
- Ability to work overtime, if required
- Ability to perform manual tasks as noted in this job description
- 2 years of related experience is preferred
