What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permit Coordinator position at Wade Trim?
Candidates must have a high school diploma, experience obtaining permits in Pennsylvania, and two or more years of drafting experience. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D, MicroStation, and/or ESRI is a plus. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 90 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:
- Research and obtain required permits(s)
- Distribute permits(s), project documents and details to designers
- Prepare computer generated road crossing, right of way, and erosion and sediment control detail drawings in AutoCAD
- Enter information into client"s database
- Read gas and electric prints to determine and communicate the scope of work to internal and external stakeholders
- Compile permitting packages from field notes, historical documents, survey data, etc. to submit for approval to local authorities having jurisdiction
- Maintain frequent communication with the client
- Review projects to determine jurisdiction and scope of work
- Assist Project Managers as needed
- Attend meetings as needed
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Ability to work independently
