Data Coordinator, Lung Cancer Screening

Be a part of the fight against Lung Cancer as a Data Coordinator for Screenings and early detection.             

Summary of the Job:  

Maintains patient registries for lung screening for early detection of lung cancer. Collects, evaluates and analyzes data pertaining to database.  Works in collaboration with  management to provide accurate reporting statistics for department productivity and successes.

What you must have: 

• High School Diploma or GED required; (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science preferred). 
• RMA, CMA preferred due to specific responsibilities for lung programs. 
• 3 years of data entry or administrative experience required. 
• Proficient with Excel required. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. 

What you will do: 

1. Assist in patient navigation alongside nurse navigators for lung screening / incidental lung nodule programs
2. Communicate with navigation team, ordering providers and pulmonary team for appropriate patient care and follow up
3. Maintain patient tracking registries 
4. Assist with weekly conference reporting and preparation
5. Participate in educating providers and practice staff on program details 
6. Promote lung programs during organized events
7. Compiles appropriate data to accommodate requests from outside departments upon request
8. Participates in reporting to management progress in achievement of department goals
9. Assists department in maintaining and building relationships with external facilities and departments.
10. Works under pressure in order to meet deadlines and timely requests 
11. Provides programming support and personal computer expertise for the department as needed

Skills Needed: 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of basic computer programs specifically word processing database
