The basic function of the Patient Account Representative is to act as a patient advocate. Staff is expected to be mindful that they are not only representing Wakefield & Associates but also the clients we serve. Professionalism through exceptional customer service is the expectation. Always being friendly when contacting a patient by telephone to motivate them to promptly resolve their accounts. Ability to work in multiple systems and make correct decisions at their level without talking to management for direction. To provide communications with patients and clients without compromising its customer service or ethical standards. Potential work from home privilege will be evaluated after successful completion of 90 day probationary period unless otherwise determined by management.
Essential Job Duties:
- Potential work from home opportunity after meeting and maintaining set expectations
- Assist in resolving consumer accounts by answering healthcare service questions; suggesting options for account resolution
- Maintain consumer records by updating account information
- Resolve accounts by clarifying consumer concerns. Identifying and explaining the best available option to solve the problem; expedite corrections or adjustments; follow up to ensure complete resolution
- Process consumer payments appropriately
- Contributes to team effort by working assigned tasks
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bilingual preferred
- Professional telephone presence
- Excellence verbal communication skills
- Prior Customer Service experience and/ or Call center experience preferred
- Healthcare Knowledge helpful
- Problem Solving/ Analytical Thinking
