Job Posting for Patient Financial Services Onsite Representative at Wakefield & Associates
Summary:
The Onsite Representative is a liaison between Benefis Health and Wakefield & Associates' business offices. The respective individual will play an essential role in monitoring operational and process items between the two entities.
Essential Job Duties:
Manage patient healthcare service problems by determining the cause of the problem; clarifying the customer's concerns; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
Validating accounts to insure they are assigned to the appropriate areas of the workflow
Responsible for managing and maintaining all correspondence including, faxes, bankruptcies, mailed information, mail return, etc
Address and manage direct patient contact as requested
Manage workflow reporting as requested by Benefis Health and Wakefield & Associates' management
Respond and manage all voicemails promptly
Work with management when issues are recognized to help improve efficiencies and streamline processes
Work as Liaison with On-Site Management
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
Ensures superior ongoing patient satisfaction and customer service
Is proficient in practice management software applications for A/R management
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Collect self-pay monies due to Benefis Health, by utilizing correspondence, personal calls, or face-to-face counseling, following the organizations credit and collections guidelines and policies and procedures
Review payment options, discuss possible financial assistance and create/approve payment arrangements
Maintains confidentiality of all personnel and patient care and relations information
Complies with the hospitals and Wakefield & Associates' Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations
Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner that supports teamwork
Must be a self-starter, self-managing, and self-motivated
Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices
