Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Resident Services Manager, coordinates and implements organized social, recreational and enrichment activities, programs and workshops for school-aged youth as well as adult residents. Assist residents with connecting to appropriate community resources. Identify service needs of the residents and provide solutions to those needs. Facilitates life skills workshops that aide in the well-being and self-sustainability of residents such as financial literacy, reading literacy, mental health, wellness recovery, etc.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, coordinate and implement after school program (assisting with homework, enrichment activities, recreational activities, arts and crafts, etc.) Plan, coordinate and implement programs for adult residents

2. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Work, Powerpoint and Outlook and Internet search engines.

3. Able to assist residents with creating cover letters and resumes, completing job applications

4. Able to assist residents with finding supportive services

5. Able to host programs at multiple centers

6. Complete monthly administrative duties: create calendars, complete monthly recap reports, attendance reports, submit supply requests, update bulletin boards

7. Develop and maintain community partnerships

8. Organize and clean center (sometimes lifting items that may weigh up to 40 lbs)

9. Responsible for outreaching to residents on a continuous basis, informing them of activities and programs to increase and maintain participation in programs

10. Update and maintain the files and reports for the program; ensuring that all calendars, reports, and photos are uploaded in a timely manner

11. Work with resident services supervisor to develop and implement programs, workshops and events

12. Responsible for maintaining the resident services files for the center

13. Responsible for maintaining a positive and professional relationship with the property management team; keeping them informed of activities and events by ensuring they have a copy of the monthly calendar

14. Experienced working with more diverse and challenging populations (ie seniors, residents with a severe mental illness, residents who have experienced homelessness)

15. Able to assist residents with financial wellness (ie. completing simple tax forms; understanding credit reports and how to improve FICO scores; creating a budget

16. Able to identify service needs of the residents and initiate, develop and implement unique programs that will help fulfill the need; familiar with ADLs (activities of daily living)

17. Able to conduct specialized workshops (ie. ESL, Financial Wellness)

18. Holds certifications in CPR and Mental Health First Aid

20. Perform other duties as required and assigned

Hours;

Monday-Friday 9:30am-7pm

Starting Compensation;
$22/an hour
