The A/V group has worked with our customers to find the right integrated audio, video and control systems solutions for their budget. Our Audio/Visual Foreman works under the guidance of a Superintendent or Project Manager on installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of audio/visual systems, associated materials and equipment on any type project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lays out work and preps materials for installation.
Performs overhead and underground layout and rough-in.
Terminate all types of copper cable including coaxial, multi-pair, LV power, Line/Mic level cable, speaker level cable and Category 3 through 6.
Assembles and installs equipment racks, relay racks, network cabinets, wall fields and associated components.
Perform equipment and cabling installations in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, of blueprints.
Correctly set up and operate VOM (Volt-Ohm Meter), SPL (sound pressure level) meter and copper testing equipment.
Troubleshoots and resolves problems in all applicable cabling and grounding systems.
Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
Position Requirements:
A minimum of 3-7 years experience in installation in the A/V field. This covers the basic installation of speakers, TVs, projectors, projection screens and various types of TV mounts.
Able to read blue prints including wiring line diagrams.
Able to build A/V racks using rack elevations.
Familiar with 70V speaker system installation, speaker tap settings, testing and troubleshooting.
Familiar with Crestron Digital Media systems including wiring, installing devices and troubleshooting is preferred
Familiar with uploading Crestron and/or AMX programming required (programming knowledge itself not required, but should be able to connect and troubleshoot issues)
Familiar with various video telecommunication systems installation and troubleshooting
High School Graduate, GED or equivalent
CTS plus CTS-I highly preferred.
