What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Specialist position at Walker Real Estate?
Job Functions
- Design and implement social media content strategies that align with Walker Real Estate’s and Walker Rentals’ goals and values
- Engage with the social community; acting as an advocate for Walker by responding to comments and messages
- Create and analyze posts and videos on all used social platforms
- Create and manage all published content for Walker
- Create and implement a social media content calendar to manage all campaigns and postings
- Design marketing materials for Walker Real Estate
- Write blog posts for WalkerExperts.com and RentWalker.com
- Work closely with the management team to develop content marketing strategy
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of, and proven record of, writing effective content in different styles appropriate to each platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Website blogs, Youtube, etc)
- Proven experience growing social media accounts and following
- Knowledge of how to use business side of major social media platforms (ie. Facebook Business Manager)
- Ability to identify potentially negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience using photo editing and content-design software, either desktop programs or web-based (Photoshop, Canva, Crello, Wave.Video, Animoto etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Graphic Design, or Communications
- Advanced knowledge and experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge of Real Estate

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
