TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT JOB SUMMARY

The IT consultant is responsible for providing industry expertise to management, teams & individuals. Their duties include researching their client and their client’s position within an industry, meeting with company executives or professionals to make suggestions and develop improvement plans based on their needs and maintaining a professional relationship with their clients over time. They can perform a variety of tasks based on the individual needs of their clients. After an initial assessment, a consultant will proceed to make improvements and help the client achieve success. Additionally, a consultant should be able to provide industry-specific coaching, brainstorm strategies, and assist other functions in the transformation process.

TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Consult with stakeholders from various departments within the company regarding their IT needs
• Analyze the organization’s infrastructure and IT requirements
• Plan and schedule projects for the organization and various departments
• Implement IT solutions designed to meet business requirements
• Train IT staff in accordance with business needs
• Produce and distribute detailed reports on the state of the company’s technology

TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Understanding and experience using database languages such as SQL or Python
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and technical skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage with and answer questions from senior executives
• Healthcare experience highlypreferred

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, software engineering or related field
